MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Gov. Pawlenty says the Minnesota Department of Transportation has made a decision about what to do about a state transportation emergency manager who didn't immediately return to Minnesota after the I-35W bridge collapse.

But Pawlenty said on his weekly radio show that he can't say anything, because of state data practices laws.

Sonia Morphew Pitt has been on administrative leave and under investigation over travel expenses, including an out-of-state trip she declined to cut short in the days following the Minneapolis bridge collapse.

Lieutenant Gov. Carol Molnau, who also is MnDOT commissioner, has told lawmakers that an announcement about Pitt's employment status could be made today or Monday.

Pitts has not returned calls to The Associated Press.
