The Minnesota Department of Transportation District 8 office in Willmar announced today the bid for the state Highway 23 project was award to KGM Contractors Inc., of Angora, with a bid of $32,204,311.

This is the second bid opening for the project.

The original bids were opened in November, but MnDOT discovered a discrepancy in the bid process during the analysis and rebid the project on Jan. 29.

The 7.5-mile project runs from east of Kandiyohi County Road 6 north of New London to west of 263rd Avenue in Paynesville.
