COLLEGEVILLE -- The Paynesville girls track and field team had three firsts and a host of seconds to take first place at the St. John's Indoor Invite (evening session) Saturday.
The Bulldogs posted 104.25 points. Montevideo was sixth (39.5) and Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City was seventh (35.5).
Tara Schmidt won the 55-meter dash in 7.6 seconds, Bri Jaeger took first in the 400 in 1:05.3 and Kacy Nehowig took first in the 3,200-meter run in 12:40.2. The Bulldogs also had seven second-place finishes.
Kjersten Karlsgodt and Sara Lund tied for second in the high jump (4-6) to lead the Falcons and Hannah Wenaas was fourth in the 800 (2:39.6) for the Thunder Hawks.
