HAZEL RUN -- Pearl Irene Mau, 86, of Granite Falls, formerly of Hazel Run, died Thursday at the Granite Falls Manor.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hazel Run Lutheran Church. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service Monday at the church. Arrangements are with Lynner Funeral Home in Clarkfield.

She was born Dec. 14, 1920, in Hazel Run to Halvor and Alma (Gautefall) Johnson. She grew up on a farm west of Hazel Run and attended school in District 28 through the eighth grade.
She married John H. Mau on Aug. 30, 1938. They lived in Hazel Run. She lost her eyesight before she was 30 due to retinitis pigmentosa. She taught herself to read and write Braille. John died in 1995. She moved to Riverview Apartments in Granite Falls in 1998, and then to the Granite Falls Manor in September of 2006.
She is survived by her children: John (and Shirley) Mau of Prior Lake, Joan (and LeRoy) Winge of Montevideo; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three siblings: Mae Weigers of Minneapolis, Doris (and Bill) Atkinson of Bountiful, Utah, and Derrald (and Shirley) Johnson of Park Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her husband, four sisters and one brother.
