OLIVIA -- Farmers with private pesticide applicator's certification that expires on March 1 can recertify by attending the recertification workshop from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the Renville Community Center. Registration begins at noon.
Registration for the workshop will be taken at the door. Bring your applicator certification identification card and an official photo identification card, such as a driver's license. Attending a recertification workshop renews your certification for three years.
The state Department of Agriculture requires applicators to attend the entire workshop to receive recertification credit. Applicators who arrive more than 15 minutes late to a workshop will not be allowed to receive recertification credit.
