RAYMOND -- Peter Joseph Hanson, 77, or Raymond, died Friday at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.

The service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Raymond United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Raymond.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and one hour before the service at the church.

He was born Aug. 15, 1930, in Nimrod to Peder and Margart (Marquardt) Hanson. They moved to Nisswa and later to the Kerkhoven area where Peter attended school.

He married Grace Schroeder on Jan. 24, 1952. They lived in Raymond and he worked as a mill operator and office staff for Super Sweet Feeds for 28 years. After he retired, he drove for Vreeman Construction.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Raymond American Legion. He was a member of Raymond United Methodist Church where he served as an usher and worked at the smelt dinners.

He is survived by his wife; children: Doug (and Deb) Hanson of Atwater, Steve (and Sherry) Hanson of Atwater, and Daniel (and Deb) Hanson of Willmar; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother.
