BENSON -- Phyllis Rose Jensen, 70, of Benson died Wednesday at St. Cloud Hospital.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Benson. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the church and for one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Arrangements are with Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson.

She was born Jan. 29, 1936, in Marysland Township, Swift County to Martin and Eleanor (Suckow) Hamann. She grew up and attended school in rural Holloway, and graduated from Holloway High School.

She married Myron "Mike" Jensen on March 26, 1955, in Moyer Township. They farmed in the rural Holloway area. They moved to Benson in 1960. She worked for Chuck's IGA and DoMats Family Foods. She retired in 2000, after 40 years.

She was a member of Our Redeemer's altar guild.

She is survived by six children: Susan (and Edwin) Goulet of Benson, Sandra (and Robert) Jergenson of Starbuck, Michael (and Julie) Jensen of Benson, Mark (and Mary) Jensen of Granite Falls, Gary (and Reneรฉ) Jensen of Benson, Darin(and Karen) Jensen of Marshall; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her mother; and two brothers: Harley (and LuVerne) Hamann of Benson, and Darrel (and Karen) Hamann of Maple Grove.

She was preceded in death by her father and her husband.
