KNOX, N.D. (AP) - Two hunters from Wisconsin were injured when they crashed into an Amtrak passenger train in North Dakota.
Amtrak spokesman Steve Kulm told the Grand Forks Herald that none of the train crew or 234 passengers was hurt in the Tuesday morning crash near Knox in northeast North Dakota. The train was delayed for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
The two hunters were hospitalized in Minot. Trinity hospital does not release information about patient conditions.
Kulm said the rural crossing where the crash occurred has signs but no lights or crossing arms. The Highway Patrol reported that the pickup driver said he did not see the train.
