ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) -- Police said they arrrested a St. Cloud man early Sunday who they believe killed a 23-year-old St. Cloud woman who was shot at an apartment complex near St. Cloud State University.

Tiara Jo Martell-Dingmann died from a gunshot wound to the head after she was shot from outside the building where she was attending a party early Saturday. Police don't think she was the intended victim.

``We're fairly satisfied that we've got the shooter,' Police Capt. Sue Stawarski told the St. Cloud Times.

A 56-year-old man who investigators believe was hiding the 24-year-old suspect was also arrested early Sunday, Stawarski said. That man was booked for disorderly conduct and released. The arrests brought the total in the case to eight, including three juveniles. More arrests are unlikely, she said.

Stearns County Attorney Janelle Kendall said charges would be filed Monday at the earliest.

Police spent Sunday interviewing witnesses and trying to sort out conflicting stories, Stawarski said. Officers still were investigating whether an altercation led to the shooting, she said.

It's believed three shots were fired because of shell casings recovered at the scene, she said. Police also have seized three cars they believe the suspects used to flee, she said.

Funeral services for Martell-Dingmann were scheduled for Wednesday.
