GROVE CITY -- West Central South Conference champion Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City defeated Benson twice on Monday to conclude the regular season.
The Falcons improved to 12-2 in the conference, winning by three games.

A five-run first inning was enough for the Falcons to overcome a 3-0 deficit and hold on to win.

Joey Slinden had two hits and a double, and Bryce Thorp had a double and three RBI.
Andrew Ebert went 2-for-4 for the Braves.
Jordan Tanner picked up the win for the Falcons, allowing four unearned runs on eight hits. He struck out 11 and walked two.

Vance Martin and Kyle Johnson each had three hits. Martin scored five runs and was a home run short of the cycle. Johnson scored three runs and had four RBI.

Senior Eldon Evans wrapped four doubles to lead the explosive Thunder Hawks. Cam Vien stroked a two-run homer in a five-run fifth and Todd Bergeson finished 3-for-5. All three batted in three runs.
Montevideo finishes 9-5 in the West Central Conference and will take a 10-7 record into the playoffs -- a home game 10 a.m. Saturday against Lincoln HI.
Morris (5-9, 5-11) managed eight hits off four Montevideo pitchers. The win went to Mike Christensen, the second pitcher.
