MONTEVIDEO -- Baxter DuFrane twirled a two-hitter with eight strikeouts and Lac qui Parle Valley ended Yellow Medicine East's season with a 12-0 victory in Section 3AA baseball action on Tuesday.
Montevideo ousted BOLD from the tournament with an 8-4 victory.
LQPV and Montevideo will now meet at 7 p.m. today in Granite Falls with the loser eliminated.
In the winner's bracket, Redwood Valley faces Marshall at 5 p.m. in Granite Falls.

Montevideo held on after Troy Hendrickson induced a double play with the bases loaded in the seventh. BOLD also had the bases loaded in the first, second and sixth innings.
Grant Kaihoi and Eric Brandon had three hits apiece and Todd Bergeson and Cam Vien both added two more to help the Thunder Hawks outhit BOLD 14-11.
Dylan Gass, Alex Gay and Andy Stevens all had two hits for BOLD.

Baxter DuFrane gave up just two singles and two walks while striking out eight in six complete innings of work for LQPV.
After being held scoreless in the first inning, the Eagles scored in every inning, including five in the sixth to invoke the 10-run rule.
Scott Omland singled twice and doubled to drive in two runs for the Eagles, who also got two hits each from Ryan Streich and Tom Zupan.

Tyler Hansen and Matt Wohlers drove in two runs apiece and Chris Boettscher scored four times as Morris (7-12) opened the playoffs with a road win.
Nate Gades tossed six effective innings, allowing six hits and two runs, to pick up the win. Dusty Sauter also tripled in a run for the Tigers, who will play top seed Wheaton/Herman-Norcross on Thursday at 2 p.m. in Morris. The winner will then play at 7 p.m. in the sub-section final.
