DAWSON -- MACCRAY survived a five-walk first inning to edge Dawson-Boyd 6-4 in Camden North Conference baseball action Monday.
After the Wolverines (7-2, 10-3) scored three runs to start the game, the MACCRAY pitchers combined to allow five walks. Dawson-Boyd turned the gifts into three runs to tie the game.
Jordan Smith, who came on in relief in the first inning, walked only two more and gave up just two hits. He struck out six.
Tyler Dammann, Smith, and Tyler Wrede had two hits each for the Wolverines.
Randy Strand had an RBI for the Blackjacks (4-7, 4-8).
