MONTEVIDEO -- Montevideo's Mitch Christenson took one for the team and it earned the Thunder Hawks a 5-4 West Central South Conference baseball win over Benson Thursday.
With the bases loaded in the bottom of seventh and two outs, Christenson was hit by a pitch, bringing home the winning run for Montevideo (6-5, 6-5).
Grant Kaihoi had three hits to lead the Thunder Hawks.
Miles Staton hit a solo homer among his three hits for the Braves (3-8, 3-9).

Brooks Maurer had three hits and Kyle Johnson drove in four runs to lift the Falcons (6-2, 6-3).
Jeff Peterson, the second of three ACGC pitchers, got the win. He hurled 3Zc innings, allowing three hits and one run.
Peterson and Travis Frederiksen had two hits each for the Falcons.

Minnewaska had a six-run fourth ignited by Mike Whittemore's triple and Brad Dunn's two-run double. Wyatt Paumen also had a run-scoring double.
