BIRD ISLAND -- Kyle Johnson's single in the eighth inning of the first game and Jeff Peterson's no-hitter in the second lifted Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City to a doubleheader sweep of BOLD in West Central South Conference baseball action Friday.
The two wins allowed ACGC to clinch the conference title outright, leading runners-up Minnewaska and Montevideo by three games with two remaining.
Johnson went 3-for-5 with a double and four RBI in the first game and connected on the game-winning hit to give ACGC (10-2, 10-3) a 10-9 victory.
Peterson struck out 10 and walked two -- he also went 3-for-4 at the plate -- to shut down the Warriors (2-10, 4-11) in the second game, 10-0.

BOLD tied the game with three runs in the sixth inning, then took a 9-8 lead with a run in the top of the eighth.
The teams combined for 27 hits. Johnson and Travis Frederiksen paced the Falcons with three hits each.
Dylan Gass had a double in two hits and four RBIs for the Warriors. Jon Caspers went 3-for-5 with a double.
The Warriors also turned a triple play in the first inning.

Kirby Sayles singled in Dustin Sauter with the winning run in the sixth inning to give coach Lyle Rambow his 300th career win.
LQPV starter Justin Stamp got two outs in the first on two pitches, but Morris then pieced together a hit, four straight walks and two more hits to plate four runs and knock Stamp out of the game.
Derek Hein doubled twice and singled for Morris while Ryan Streich was a home run shy of hitting for the cycle for the Eagles.
