GLENWOOD -- Taylor Semler outdueled Alicia Pfeninger as Benson/Hancock nipped Minenwaska 1-0 on Jenny Noordmans' home run in West Central South Conference softball action on Friday.
Minneaska had only one runner reach as far as second base. Nicholee Lange walked in the third inning and was sacrificed to second by Emily Toop.
Noordmans led off in fourth inning with her home run to center field.
Minnewaska (9-2, 13-3) and Benson/Hancock (7-2, 9-3) are now locked in a virtual tie for the conference lead.
Semler hurled a two-hitter, while walking one and striking out two. Pfeninger gave up three hits, while walking one and fanning seven.
