SLEEPY EYE -- Buffalo Lake-Hector picked up its first victory at the most opportune time, defeating Sleepy Eye 6-2 in the Section 2A-North playoffs on Friday.
BLH (1-10) scored five runs off of six hits in the first inning. Amanda DeMoss had a two-run single and Karlee Ilgen doubled in another run.
Brittany Lade picked up the win. She scattered six hits, gave up two runs, walked three and struck out four.
