ALBANY -- Paynesville got its runs early and late in its Section 6AA-South championship game against Rocori Thursday, leading to a 6-3 victory.
The Bulldogs (15-3) advance to the four-team section tournament Tuesday at St. Cloud.
Laura Schaefer smacked a two-run double to the fence in the second inning, giving Paynesville a 3-0 lead.
But Rocori tallied two runs in the fourth to put pressure on the Bulldogs.
In the sixth, Schaefer picked up her third RBI with a two-out single and Keely Meagher brought home two more with a single.

Schaefer and Meagher had two hits each to pace Paynesville.
Whitney Woehler went the distance for the win. She allowed three runs on five hits, struck out three and walked two.
