MONTEVIDEO -- Red Rock Central knocked out both MACCRAY and Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg in the Section 3A softball tournament on Tuesday.
Red Rock nipped MACCRAY 4-3. KMS topped Adrian 7-0, but then fell to Red Rock, 7-1.

Red Rock Central rallied from a 4-2 deficit with two runs in the top of the fourth and the eventual winning run in the top of the fifth.
Caylee Hagemeyer belted a three-run homer in the third inning for MACCRAY. Brandi Bodin went 2-for-4.

Audra Schmidt hurled a five-hitter for the win. None of the runs scored off her were earned. She walked none and struck out seven.

Nikki Pedersen whirled a three-hit shutout to advance the Fighting Saints in the section brackets. Pedersen struck out eight and walked two.
Jasmine Bredeson had two hits, including a double, and two RBI for KMS. Sarah Carlson also had two hits.
