BENSON -- A sweep in doubles helped Benson/KMS clip Long Prairie-Grey Eagle 4-3 in a Section 6A semifinal match Friday.
Benson/KMS will now play in the section final Tuesday at 5 p.m. at College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph. Foley and St. Cloud Cathedral met in the other semifinal match Thursday.
Brett Johnston and Ahren Backman won a three-setter at 2-doubles to earn the fourth point for the Braves.
Will Johnson-Luke Widseth at 1-doubles, Mike Goulet-Brandon Edlund at 3-doubles and Matt Hagestuen at 3-singles also won for Benson/KMS.
