LITCHFIELD -- James Nicholas Dahlager, 26, of Prior Lake, was sentenced Wednesday to 108 months in prison for the gunpoint robberies last summer of a Eden Valley convenience store and the Grove City liquor store.

The sentence was handed down in Meeker County District Court by Judge Steven E. Drange, who also ordered Dahlager to pay $593 in fines, fees and restitution with prison earnings on the two first-degree aggravated robbery charges. The sentence will be served concurrently, or at the same time, as sentences for robberies in Hennepin and Sibley counties.

Dahlager is scheduled to be sentenced on June 9 in Kandiyohi County District Court for the July 29 armed robbery of Deby's Convenience Store on U.S. Highway 12 East. He pleaded guilty March 17 to a felony for aggravated robbery in that case. The robberies are several of the 14 armed robberies with which Dahlager has been charged or of which he has been convicted since last summer. The Meeker County charges were for robbing Mike's Standard in Eden Valley on June 8 and the Grove City liquor store on July 4.

Dahlager also faces robbery charges in Benton, McLeod, Sibley, Stearns LeSueur, Nicollet and Wright counties. He has already been convicted and sentenced to 60 months in the St. Cloud Minnesota Correction Facility for a Hennepin County armed robbery.

He is also a Level III sex offender based on a 2000 criminal sexual conduct conviction in Brown County. According to the state Department of Corrections offender locator Web site, he has a history of sexual contact with two juvenile females, 12 and 3 years old. The state designates as Level III those sexual offenders most likely to reoffend.
