LITCHFIELD -- The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office announced today that authorities have positively identified the victim from a death investigation incident as Toni Cottrill, 39, of Paynesville. The cause of death is probable drowning.
The circumstances leading up Cottrill’s death are still under investigation. Investigators are attempting to contact people she may have been in the company of and her whereabouts prior to death.
The residence on 518th Avenue, where she was last seen, was not her own. Anyone who had contact with Cottrill on Nov. 29 or 30 is encouraged to contact the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office at 320-693-5400.
