I would like to address some assumptions made by Graden West about the war on terror. Mr. West believes the United States is hated because of our foreign policy in the Middle East. I'd like to submit another reason.
Mark A. Gabriel, Ph.D. former professor of Islamic history at Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt, in his book "Islam and Terrorism" quotes from the writings of Islamic scholar Mawlana Abul Ala Mawdudi.
These are his words:
"Islam is a revolutionary faith that comes to destroy any government made by man. Islam doesn't look for a nation to be in better condition than another nation. Islam doesn't care about the land or who owns the land. The goal of Islam is to rule the entire world and submit all of mankind to the faith of Islam. Any nation or power that tries to get in the way of that goal, Islam will fight and destroy.
"In order for Islam to fulfill that goal, Islam can use every power available every way it can be used to bring world wide revolution. This is jihad."

Dr. Gabriel comments:
"As you can see, Islam is the faith of struggle, revolution and war. Islam doesn't want a little piece of the world-- it wants it all."
I'm sure many people believed the best about the intentions of Nazi Germany, until it was too late to do anything. Don't make the same mistake about a nuclear Iran.
