WILLMAR -- The public is invited to attend an open house from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Willmar Municipal Utilities Building, 700 Litchfield Ave. S.W., to hear plans for the U.S. Highway 12 concrete rehabilitation project in Willmar.
The project is scheduled to begin June 3.
Workers will extend the life of the roadway surface by removing and replacing aged joint sealer and deteriorating concrete panels on U.S. Highway 12 from the railroad bridge overpass near 11th Street Southwest to Seventh Street and on Dolson Street to Sixth Street Southeast in Willmar.
Staff from the Minnesota Department of Transportation and representatives from Forby Contracting Inc. will provide an overview of the project, answer questions or address concerns. The project is part of a larger district-wide project taking place this summer in the cities of Litchfield and Clara City.
For more information, call MnDOT project manager Nathan Pederson at 320-214-6351 or project supervisor Jim Christensen at 320-214-6316.
