'Block of the Month' quilt
During my year as President of Country Quilters, I used my Electric Quilt program to put together nine blocks as a "Block of the Month" project with a variety of ways to sash and border the quilt. Beginning in September 2008, one block was presented each month with directions for piecing, and members showed their completed block the following month.
A special thank you to Helen, Ramona, Linda and Judy for all their help in making the demo blocks and demonstrating how to assemble the individual blocks each month.
Several members of our guild made the blocks, and now we see many of the results here at our 2009 Quilt Show. We are repeating the program this year with a row quilt as our Block of the Month project beginning this fall. We hope to see many of them at our next show.

Raffle quilt
The quilt to be raffled for the 2009 Quilt Show was chosen by members Lois Picha and Cherie Heitke. The name of the quilt is "Garden Patch" and it is a nine-patch pieced quilt with an appliqué border. Several members of the Guild participated in making the nine-patch blocks and preparing the many appliqué pieces which were hand appliquéd by Jean Rasmussen and Deb Bomstad. The quilt was machine quilted by Jan Martin with a long-arm quilting machine.
