WILLMAR -- John Stanoch, president of Qwest in Minnesota, will speak Thursday in Willmar.
Stanoch will address Qwest business services in the Willmar area and Qwest's future plans nationwide. A question and answer session will follow.
The event will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at The Oaks at Eagle Creek. Reservations are required. The Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce Public Policy Committee will sponsor the event as part of its overall monthly meeting.
The meeting is open to Chamber members and non-members.
Stanoch has been with Qwest since 2000. Before joining the company, he served for two years as Minnesota's chief deputy attorney general and for eight years as a Hennepin County district court judge.

In addition to his government service, he has been active in a number of community organizations and activities. He serves on the boards of the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce, Minnesota Business Partnership, Minnesota Orchestral Association, the Science Museum of Minnesota and the YMCA of Metropolitan Minneapolis. He is a past chair of the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
