REDWOOD FALLS -- Ralph Gordon "Gordy" Valle, 86, of Redwood Falls died Friday at Wood Dale Nursing Home in Redwood Falls.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls. Private burial service will be held earlier.
Visitation will be for one hour before the service at the church. Arrangements are with Nelson-Martin Funeral Service of Redwood Falls.
He was born Aug. 31, 1921, in Brandt, S.D. to Theodore and Ricka (Prehn) Valle. He graduated from Canby High School in 1939. He continued his education, concentrating in the area of business administration, while working for Northland Greyhound Company in Minneapolis. From 1942 to 1945, he served as an electrician's mate in the U.S. Navy.
He married Barbara Charlsen on March 31, 1953, in Stillwater and they settled in Redwood Falls where he worked for Falls Implement. He became the deputy city clerk-treasurer for the City of Redwood Falls, a position he held until his retirement in October 1986. He was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, the Masons, Lions Club, American Legion and VFW and a volunteer with the American Red Cross and Share the Spirit.

He is survived by two daughters: Linda (and Ed) Caillier of Vadnais Heights and Jane Valle of Bemidji; one grandson; one great-grandson; and one brother: Robert Valle of Golden Valley.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 2002, two brothers and one sister.
