WHEATON -- Willmar scored five runs in the third inning and went on to defeat Raymond 6-2 in the second-round of Region 9C Sunday.

Jordan Olson's two-run homer keyed the big inning as Willmar beat the Rockets for the first time this season.

Darin Ditterich pitched into the seventh inning for the win. Brandon Wensauer, draftee from Sacred Heart, finished up.

Nate Hebrink took the loss.

Also at Wheaton on Sunday, Clinton beat Dumont 5-4 to clinch a berth in the state tournament, and Benson whitewashed Appleton 1-0.

Next Saturday at Benson in the elimination round, the Chiefs will host Willmar at 1:30 p.m., followed by Raymond and Dumont at 4:30 p.m. The winners play at 7:30 p.m. with the winner qualifying for the Class C state tournament.
