RENVILLE - Voters defeated Renville County West School District’s $4.9 million bond issue.
The initiative to issue general obligation school building bonds to improve school sites and construction of additions to the school facility failed 484 to 400, according to unofficial totals from the Secretary of State’s website.
Voters in only two of the 15 precincts passed the initiative. In Renville, it was passed 148 to 62 and 23 to 21 in Winfield Township. Both sides of the questions received 52 votes from Danube voters.
