NEW LONDON -- A resident on the 19000 block of West Andrew Road, rural New London, summoned help when a fire in a wood pile began spreading. The fire was reported shortly after 4 p.m. Friday.

Fight call

SPICER -- Kandiyohi County Sheriff's deputies charged a 21-year-old man with fifth-degree assault after responding to a report of a fight involving six males at 11:31 p.m. Saturday in front of O'Neils, 152 Lake Ave. N., Spicer.

WILLMAR -- Police are investigating a report that a main display window on the GLO Studio on the 200 block of Fifth Street Southwest in Willmar was damaged on Friday night.

WILLMAR -- Police received a report that a computer at the American Legion was discovered to be damaged sometime after closing time Saturday. The damage was estimated at $1,700.

Renter kicks in door

WILLMAR -- Police responding to a report that an apartment door had been kicked in learned that the person responsible was the renter, who had inadvertently locked himself out. Police received the call at 2:26 p.m. Saturday on the 900 block of 20th Avenue Southeast.

Thefts

NEW LONDON -- A Sunburg woman reported Saturday afternoon that her purse was stolen while she was at Jimmy's Pizza on the 300 block of South Main Street, New London. The wallet from the purse was recovered, but $100 in cash and personal identification were missing.

WILLMAR -- An Olivia woman reported Friday evening that $100 was stolen from her purse while she was at the former Erickson's building near the intersection of Third Street Southwest and Litchfield Avenue in Willmar.

WILLMAR -- A Mach 3 boy's dirt bicycle was stolen out of a garage on the 900 block of Third Street Southwest, its owner reported to police on Saturday.

Indecent exposure

WILLMAR -- Police are investigating a man suspected of indecent exposure Friday evening at Robbins Island.

A motorist notified police that he was being followed in his vehicle at Robbins Island shortly after 6 p.m. He said the man following him was apparently fondling himself.

Police stopped a 66-year-old male suspect and advised him of the complaint.
