Kingston man hurt in crash into grove of trees
FOREST CITY - A 27-year-old Kingston man was taken by ambulance to Meeker Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries suffered in a one-vehicle crash around 7:40 a.m. Saturday near Forest City.
According to the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office, Ronald Brottem was driving a 2011 GMC pickup when he lost control of the vehicle and drove off the road and into a grove of trees near the intersection of state Highway 24 and 650th Avenue in Forest City Township.
The crash is under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol. Also responding were the Litchfield fire and rescue crews and Gold Cross Ambulance.
Arrests
PAYNESVILLE - A 30-year-old man was arrested on charges of driving while impaired around 2:45 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of 197th Street and 195th Avenue Northeast.
SPICER - A 23-year-old woman was arrested for driving while impaired around 1:10 a.m. Saturday along the 12000 block of 105th Avenue Northeast.
SPICER - A 33-year-old woman was arrested for driving while impaired, with charges pending test results, around 6 p.m. Friday near the intersection of state Highway 23 and 132nd Avenue Northeast.
SPICER - A 21-year-old man was arrested on charges of theft and issuing a dishonored check around 6:40 p.m. Friday along Access Drive.
WILLMAR - A 60-year-old man was arrested on charges of driving while impaired around 4:25 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of 15th Avenue Southwest and Hansen Drive.
WILLMAR - A 29-year-old woman was arrested around 2:30 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of U.S. Highway 71 and 40th Avenue Northeast.
SPICER - A 30-year-old man was arrested on charges of driving while impaired around 2 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Manitoba Street and Lake Avenue.
Theft
WILLMAR - The theft of a computer and other items from a vehicle was reported around 7:20 p.m. Friday along the 1100 block of Second Street Southeast.
