Hector man airlifted after ATV crash
HECTOR - A 51-year-old rural Hector man was airlifted Tuesday evening to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale for treatment of injuries suffered in an ATV rollover.
According to the Renville County Sheriff’s Office, Paul E. Johnson was driving a 1992 Honda four-wheeler about five miles southwest of Hector and lost control of the all-terrain vehicle, causing it to roll over multiple times. Johnson was able to drive the ATV a short distance to his residence, where he called for help, which was received just after 6 p.m.
Johnson was taken by Hector Ambulance to RC Hospital in Olivia, where he was in serious condition. He was later flown to North Memorial. He was not wearing a helmet and was alone on the ATV.
The crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office. Also responding was the Hector Police Department.
Arrests
WILLMAR - Three people, a 29-year-old man, a 30-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, were arrested on warrants and drug possession charges around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday along the 1600 block of Seventh Avenue Southeast after officers served a search warrant on a residence.
Fraud
WILLMAR - A case of identity theft was reported around 5:45 a.m. Wednesday along the 1300 block of Eighth Street Southwest. A citizen reported someone had used their identity and it was discovered when they filed their taxes.
