Officers respond to domestic incident reportedly involving guns
KANDIYOHI - More than a dozen law enforcement officers responded Friday morning to a Kandiyohi home where a man was reported to be suicidal and in possession of weapons.
The incident was reported to authorities at 7:55 a.m., according to a news release from the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office.
When authorities arrived at the home on Eighth Street, they were told that a woman was still inside with the man. When she was able to leave the home, she told officers that the man had multiple weapons on him, according to the release.
The man was eventually persuaded to leave the house and was subdued by deputies. He was taken to Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar for evaluation.
No officers were injured in the incident.

KANDIYOHI - The city of Kandiyohi requested extra patrols Thursday afternoon, as drivers were going around barricades at the construction zone at U.S. Highway 12 East and Kandiyohi County Road 8 Northeast. Several citations were issued later Thursday.
Theft
WILLMAR - The theft of a 12-gauge shotgun was reported at 6:25 p.m. Thursday in the 800 block of Augusta Avenue Southeast in Willmar. The gun was reportedly stolen from the back seat of a truck.
