Teen escapes fiery crash
FRANKLIN -- A 16-year-old Franklin teen escaped injury in a fiery rollover crash around 5 p.m. Friday
According to the Renville County Sheriff's office, Tyler Crain was able to get out of his vehicle, which had entered a ditch, rolled over and struck a tree. The impact caused the vehicle to ignite.
The accident happened about one-half mile west of County Road 3 on County Road 5 about three miles southeast of Franklin.
The Franklin police and fire departments assisted the sheriff's office.

WILLMAR -- The theft of a three-speed women's bicycle was reported around 4:25 p.m. Friday along the 300 block of 11th Street Southwest.
WILLMAR -- The theft of a green Next bike was reported around 1:40 p.m. Saturday along the 700 block of Third Street Southwest.
WILLMAR -- The theft of a bottle of liquor was reported around 9:50 p.m. Saturday at Gerry's Liquors, 810 Litchfield Avenue Southwest. The bottle was valued at $16.26.
Property damage
PAYNESVILLE -- A caller reported that someone had driven through their cornfield and lost their license plate around noon Saturday along the 17600 block of 180th Avenue Southeast.
WILLMAR -- Vandalism to a vehicle was reported around 3:45 p.m. Saturday along the 1400 block of Fifth Street Southwest. The sport utility was dented and scratched.
WILLMAR -- A broken window pane was reported around 4:35 p.m. Saturday along the 1500 block of Fifteenth Street Southwest.
