Tires slashed

WILLMAR -- The tires on the driver's side of a car parked at Regency West were slashed, according to a report made Thursday afternoon to the Willmar Police Department. The incident occurred between 10 p.m. on Monday and 7 a.m. on Tuesday.

Thefts

SPICER -- Fishing equipment valued at $275 was taken from a fish house located near the north shore boat access on Green Lake, according to a report made Wednesday to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office. Taken were two rods, a tackle box and a Coleman lantern.

WILLMAR -- A bathroom door valued at $40 was stolen from an apartment located in the 1200 block of 24th Street Northwest, Willmar police said. The theft was reported Thursday. Entry was gained by breaking a window. Damage to the window was $190.

Accident

KIMBALL -- The Stearns County Sheriff's Office said Brittany Klein, 16, of Watkins was injured when the car in which she was a passenger struck the rear of a semi truck at 8:12 a.m. Friday at the intersection of County Road 164 and Kramer Road. Klein was taken by private vehicle to Paynesville Hospital for treatment.

No injuries were reported to the driver of the 1999 Chevy Lumina, Shawny Kramer, 16, of Watkins, and Franics Funk, 53, of Sauk Centre, the driver of the 2002 International truck. The sheriff's office said Kramer was turning right to go north on Kramer Road when the car struck the truck.

The Kimball Police Department and the Minnesota State Patrol assisted the sheriff's office. The investigation into the crash continues.
