WILLMAR -- A VCR and 50 to 70 CDs were stolen from a garage on the 6800 block of 58th Avenue Southeast in rural Willmar. The value of the stolen items is estimated at $800. The theft was reported Thursday.

WILLMAR -- A stereo of undetermined value was stolen from a garage on the 400 block of Lakeland Avenue Southeast, Willmar, its owners reported Thursday.

Hit-and-run accident

WILLMAR -- Willmar police issued charges of leaving the scene of an accident and driving without insurance against a 29-year-old Willmar man after an accident reported at 6:48 a.m. Thursday on the 16000 block of 15th Street Southeast, Willmar. The driver of the other vehicle involved in the accident told police that the suspect left a phone number but drove away after the property-damage accident. Police were able to catch up with the suspect using the description of the vehicle provided by the victim.

Accident

BELVIEW -- A Redwood Falls woman was treated and released from the Redwood Falls Hospital for injuries she suffered in a two-vehicle accident at 5:20 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of State Highway 19 and Redwood County Road 7 by the Belview Road.

Sonia Belknap, 67, was treated for a shoulder injury and bump on the head, the Minnesota State Patrol office in Marshall reported.

She was driving a 1999 Toyota Camry that collided with a 2002 Ford pickup driven by Douglas Lyons, 38, of Northfield. Lyons was not injured. The Toyota was totaled in the mishap. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
