SACRED HEART -- The Renville County Sheriff's Department said five people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash at 4:33 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of 840th Avenue and County Road 10, located two miles west of Sacred Heart and one mile north of U.S. Highway 212.

Darrel Hanson of rural Sacred Heart was driving with his two minor children westbound on 840th Avenue when his vehicle collided with a vehicle driven south on County Road 10 by Richard Halterman of rural Montevideo. Halterman had a passenger, Ronald Hanson of rural Sacred Heart.

All parties were taken to Granite Falls Hospital for minor injuries, said the Sheriff's Department, which is investigating the crash.

Also responding to the crash were the Sacred Heart Police Department, the Sacred Heart Fire Department, the Sacred Heart First Responders, the Renville Ambulance Service, the Granite Falls Ambulance Service and Meyer's Repair and Towing of Granite Falls.
