Dog rescued
SPICER -- A black Labrador was rescued after it broke through ice on Nest Lake shortly after 8 a.m. Friday.
A Kandiyohi County rescue unit was summoned, but a responding sheriff's deputy helped the dog to safety before the rescue unit reached the scene.
Burglary
WILLMAR -- A resident on the 600 block of Ann Street Southeast told police that she returned to her home Thursday afternoon to discover than an X Box and games valued at $300 had been taken in an apparent burglary.

Theft
WILLMAR -- Holm Brothers reported that a man who bought two trailers left the store with more than the trailers he had purchased. The man left with a variety of goods in the two trailers for which he had not paid, according to the report made Thursday afternoon. The man had paid for some but not all of the items in one trailer, and none of the items in the other trailer.
Man found, charged
WILLMAR -- A 22-year-old man is charged with fourth degree driving while impaired pending the results of a blood test following a search for him and his passenger on Friday morning.
A girlfriend of the suspect reported at 6:30 a.m. that he had gone into a ditch at 4:15 a.m. and had not returned. The site of the accident was discovered to be near the intersection of 120th Avenue Southeast and U.S. Highway 71. The vehicle the suspect was driving had gone into a ditch.
