Thefts
WILLMAR -- A stereo and CD player were reported stolen from a vehicle Friday evening while it was parked at Wal-Mart, 3031 First St. S. Willmar police are investigating.
WILLMAR -- A car was reported stolen Saturday night at 11th Street Southwest and Becker Avenue. The license number of the gray 1990 Buick LeSabre is MYE583.
Arrests
WILLMAR -- A Granite Falls man was arrested Saturday night on suspicion of stealing a vehicle in Chippewa County.

A Kandiyohi County sheriff's deputy spotted the vehicle at about 8:20 p.m., going south on Kandiyohi County Highway 7, southwest of Prinsburg. The driver was stopped and arrested a couple of miles farther south, in Renville County.
Charges pending against the 31-year-old suspect include fleeing in a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property, second-degree driving while intoxicated and controlled substance crime.
Fires
WILLMAR -- Willmar firefighters were called out shortly before 2:30 p.m. Saturday to the Lakeview Inn, 1212 Business Hwy. 71 N., where smoke was reported in one of the motel rooms. The smoke was traced to a heater that malfunctioned.
