* A 40-year-old Willmar man made his first appearance Oct. 17 facing a felony charge of terroristic threats.
Todd David Nichols was charged after an incident last week. Judge Michael J. Thompson set unconditional bail at $20,000 and allowed Nichols to be released conditionally on his own recognizance.
Charges were filed after an Oct. 15 incident when Nichols' ex-wife and her boyfriend reported to the Willmar Police Department that Nichols had allegedly made threats to them. The boyfriend told officers that Nichols threatened to shoot him. Nichols' ex-wife also reported that Nichols allegedly threatened to shoot her boyfriend and then come after her.

Nichols denied ever making the threats. His next court date is scheduled for Oct. 30.
Halloween decorations stolen and broken
WILLMAR -- The Willmar Police Department received a report around 4:15 p.m. Sunday that some Halloween decorations had been stolen or damaged along the 700 block of Sixth Street Southwest.
According to the report, a plywood gravestone, 4-foot-tall plywood mummy and 2½-foot-tall Frankenstein were taken from the yard. Damage to a witch decoration was also reported.
Theft
SPICER -- The theft of 10 political signs for Joe Gimse since Thursday was reported to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Department around 10:10 a.m. Monday along the 9600 block of Lake Avenue South.
The signs were allegedly taken from an area between the south shore of Green Lake and the Bible camp.

WILLMAR -- Some minor damage to siding was reported to the Willmar Police Department around 1:30 p.m. Sunday along the 800 block of Augusta Avenue Southwest.
WILLMAR -- A report of a house being spray-painted was taken by the Willmar Police Department around 7:45 a.m. Monday along the 1300 block of Dana Drive Southeast.
WILLMAR -- A mailbox and trail sign were reported damaged to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Department around noon Monday along the 3700 block of 45th Avenue Northeast.
Found property
KANDIYOHI -- A black truck topper was found around 7:35 a.m. Monday along the side of 90th Street Southeast near the intersection of Seventh Avenue Southeast, 1½ miles south of Kandiyohi. Two Kandiyohi County sheriff's deputies responded.
