Arrest
WILLMAR — A 20-year-old man was arrested by law enforcement for theft about 3 p.m. Monday on the 2000 block of First Street South, according to the incident report.
According to law enforcement, the man called City Line Towing to get his car unlocked and then took off without paying.
The man was tracked down at a Walmart a short time later and gave a false name to law enforcement, the report said. Under his actual name, it was found he did not have a driver’s license.
The vehicle the man was driving is still being investigated as it was a rental car that may not have been returned in time, according to the contract.

WILLMAR — A theft was reported around 3:20 p.m. Tuesday on the 500 block of Johanna Avenue Southeast.

WILLMAR — Law enforcement responded to a report that a girlfriend kicked a man’s 10-year-old daughter in the back at around 11:20 p.m. Monday on the 400 block of 30th Street Northwest.
Fight
WILLMAR — A fight was reported around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday on the corner of Fourth Street and Litchfield Avenue Southwest.
Fraud
WILLMAR — A report of fraud was made around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday on the 1600 block of U.S. Highway 12 East.
Break-in
WILLMAR — A person reported Tuesday morning that someone tried to break in to their house the night before around midnight. Nothing was missing or broken, according to the incident report.
Burglary
SPICER — A Bose soundbar was reported stolen around 1 p.m. Tuesday on the 200 block of Hillcrest Avenue.
Trespass
WILLMAR — A person was cited for trespassing around 7:20 p.m. Monday from Walmart on 19th Avenue Southeast. The trespass notice was renewed for a year, according to the incident report.
Disorderly conduct
WILLMAR — Law enforcement responded to a report of an unruly woman around 4 p.m. Monday on the 1100 block of Sixth Street Northeast.
According to the incident report, the woman was a voluntary check-in at a facility and had been throwing objects, including chairs.

When law enforcement arrived, she appeared calm and wanted to be transported to the hospital for an evaluation, which law enforcement did, according to the incident report.
WILLMAR — Law enforcement responded to a disorderly call around 1 a.m. Tuesday of a woman refusing to leave a residence on the 200 block of Hawaii Street Northeast.
The woman was brought back to her house and told not to come back, according to the incident report.
ATWATER — Law enforcement took a disorderly report around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday on the 500 block of Sixth Street South.
Social distancing
WILLMAR — An officer responded to a call of eight youth playing basketball — in violation of social distancing guidelines amid the pandemic — around 7:35 p.m. Monday on the 500 block of Eighth Street Southwest.
All of them left after being told of the complaint, according to the incident report.
