Cosmos woman injured in crash

COSMOS — A Cosmos woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident Monday night in Meeker County.

According to the State Patrol, Lindsey Lucille Minnick, 19, was driving a 2005 Jeep Liberty south on Minnesota Highway 4 when the vehicle went off the road at 535th Avenue. in Cosmos Township.

She was taken to the Hutchinson Health Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol.

Road conditions were dry at the time of the crash, which was reported at 9:48 p.m. Monday.

Minnick was wearing a seatbelt and alcohol was not a factor, according to the report.


Montevideo woman strikes garage in Willmar

WILLMAR — A 31-year-old Montevideo woman was injured around 11:36 p.m. Monday after her vehicle struck a garage on the 1300 block of Richland Avenue Southwest, according to Willmar Police Chief Jim Felt.

According to a news release from Felt, police responded to a report of a vehicle driving through a yard and hitting a garage at the residence. When police arrived, they found the driver still inside a 2007 Ford Focus that was partially inside a damaged garage.

The woman was transported by CentraCare EMS to Carris Health — Rice Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

According to Felt, alcohol appeared to be a contributing factor and the case remains under investigation.

Two vehicles parked inside the garage also sustained damage.

The Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad also responded to the incident.

Two injured in Kingston crash

KINGSTON — A two-vehicle accident Tuesday morning resulted in injuries after a collision at an intersection south of Kimball in Kingston, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

According to the accident report, Shirley May Klatte, 86, of Kimball, was southbound on Minnesota Highway 15 in a 2014 Chevrolet Malibu when she slowed down to go eastbound on Meeker County Road 27.


Silvia Meneses, 39, of Hutchinson, was northbound on Highway 15 in a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox when her vehicle collided with Klatte's.

Meneses was transported to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Klatte was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield with non-life-threatening injuries.

Both parties were wearing their seat belts.

Road conditions were dry and alcohol was not involved, according to the State Patrol.

The Meeker County Sheriff's Office also responded to the incident.


WILLMAR — A 68-year-old man was arrested around 8:14 p.m. Monday during a trespass call on the 1100 block of First Street South.


BLOMKEST — Cash was reported stolen in a report made around 9:32 a.m. Tuesday on the 4600 block of 194th Avenue Southwest.


SPICER — A boat was reported stolen around 10:02 a.m. Tuesday on the 6700 block of 113th Avenue Northeast.

According to the report, the boat was stolen around three weeks ago. It’s described as a duck boat with blind and a 40-horsepower Honda engine.

Mailbox damaged

LAKE LILLIAN — A mailbox was shot over the weekend, according to a report filed around 4:10 p.m. Tuesday on the 9300 block of 120th Street Southeast.

Counterfeit bill

WILLMAR — A counterfeit bill was reported around 12:25 a.m. Tuesday on the 600 block of First Street South.
