Three injured in New London crash
NEW LONDON - Three women were injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday night in New London.
The accident was reported at 6:36 p.m. at the intersection of state Highways 23 and 9.
According to the State Patrol, a 2013 Dodge Avenger driven by Kathy Lee Brunsdale, 51, of New London, was going east on Highway 9 when it collided with a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander driven by Donna Louise Bengtson, 62, of Sartell, that was going south on Highway 23.

The accident was described as a right-angle type collision.
Road conditions were wet at the time.
The drivers, as well as a passenger in the Mitsubishi, Julie Louise Dearking, 71, of St Cloud, were taken to Rice Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol.
The intersection, which is the main entrance to New London from Highway 23, has been the site of frequent accidents and is being studied for possible alterations to improve safety. The speed limit on Highway 23 is 65 mph in this area.
The New London Fire Department, New London Ambulance, Willmar Ambulance, Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Department and the Department of Natural Resources assisted at the scene.
Elderly couple injured in fiery crash
MELROSE - An elderly couple from Melrose was injured Thursday afternoon when their vehicle collided with a truck and burst into flames.
The accident was reported at 2:31 p.m. on Stearns County Road 13, near 395th Street in Melrose Township.

According to the Stearns County Sheriff's Office, a 2002 GMC Sierra driven by David Theiler, 56, of Melrose, was attempting to cross County Road 13 to go from his driveway to a neighbor's house across the road when it was struck broadside by a 2008 Chevy Cobalt driven by Loretta Thull, 78, of Melrose, that was traveling on County Road 13.
Shortly after colliding with the bed of the truck, the Chevy Cobalt started on fire. Thull and her husband, Herbert Thull, 81, of Melrose, were helped out of the vehicle by Theiler.
A short time later the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames.
The Melrose Fire Department responded to extinguish the flames.
Loretta and Herbert Thull were transported to the Melrose Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Sheriff's Office.
The Stearns County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Melrose Police Department, Melrose Fire and Rescue and Melrose Ambulance.
