Suspect sought in Raymond theft
RAYMOND - Police are looking for a man who stole money from a cash register at a Raymond gas station Monday night and then fled the scene.
According to the initial report, the theft happened at around 9:25 p.m. at the Cenex gas station on Babcock Avenue when the unidentified man grabbed an undetermined amount of money from the cash drawer that was open while an employee was giving change.
Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office said the suspect is described as tall and slender. He had his face partially covered during the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff's office at 320-214-6700, ext. 3341.
Woman injured in crash
WILLMAR - A Willmar woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday morning east of Willmar on U.S. Highway 12.
According to the State Patrol, Stephanie Rodriguez, 26, of Willmar, was driving a 2015 Dodge Journey west on Highway 12 when she lost control of the vehicle, crossed the center line and struck a 1999 Dodge Ram, driven by Jeffrey Loher, 46, of Appleton, that was going east on Highway 12.
Rodriguez was taken to Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar with non-life-threatening injuries.
Loher was not injured.
The highway was covered with snow and ice at the time of the crash, which was reported at 6:54 a.m. Monday.
The Willmar Police Department assisted at the scene of the accident.
NEW LONDON - A wallet and coat were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 200 block of Ash Street Southeast. The report was filed at 11:24 a.m. Tuesday.
SPICER - Cash was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 8000 block of 137th Avenue Northwest. The incident was reported at 12:43 p.m. Monday.
WILLMAR - Bags of merchandise were reported stolen from a vehicle Tuesday morning in the 2200 block of 23rd Street Northeast.
Man arrested with $12,000 worth of meth
GLENWOOD - A 31-year-old Alexandria man, who was found passed out in a vehicle with $12,000 worth of methamphetamine, was arrested Monday in Pope County.
The suspect, who allegedly had 120 grams of meth and a small amount of marijuana, was arrested on first degree sale of a controlled substance, first degree possession of a controlled substance and other drug-related charges.
The arrest was made after the Pope County Sheriff's Department was asked to check on the welfare of the man.
He is being held in the Douglas County Jail.
The sheriff's department was assisted by the Glenwood Police Department.
