MINNEAPOLIS — The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office picked up two men on Kandiyohi County warrants Wednesday morning from jails in Hennepin and Washington counties.

GRANITE FALLS — The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office picked up a 19-year-old man on a Kandiyohi County warrant Tuesday evening from the Granite Falls Police Department.

WILLMAR — A 36-year-old man was arrested on a warrant Wednesday afternoon on the 500 block of Becker Avenue Southwest.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the man was not listed as in custody in the Kandiyohi County Jail and the report does not list a reason for the warrant.
WILLMAR — A 40-year-old man was arrested Wednesday morning for drug possession on the 1600 block of First Street South.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the man was listed as in custody in the Kandiyohi County Jail on charges related to his arrest.
WILLMAR — A 49-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday night during a traffic stop near Ninth Street and Minnesota Avenue Southwest.
As of Wednesday afternoon, she was listed as in custody in the Kandiyohi County Jail on charges related to theft and assault.

WILLMAR — A semitractor hit a light pole Wednesday morning near Highway 71 and 105th Avenue South.
According to the report, there were no injuries and the driver did not see the roundabout.

PAYNESVILLE — A driver went off the road, through a shed and ended up next to a boat Wednesday morning near the 20000 block of Tri-County Road Northeast.
There are no injuries listed on the report.
Litchfield woman sentenced Monday to 36 months for 2020 Meeker County shooting
Elizabeth Anne Smith, 19, of Litchfield, was sentenced Monday in Meeker County District Court to 36 months for her role in what prosecutors called a revenge plot to "rough up" a man who allegedly sold methamphetamine to Smith.

If convicted, Potter says she wants judge to decide whether aggravating factors exist for longer sentence
Kimberly Potter, who was a police officer in the city of Brooklyn Center just north of Minneapolis, has pleaded not guilty to first- and second-degree manslaughter charges. Her lawyers have said Potter, 49, mistakenly used her handgun instead of her stun gun in the death of Wright, a 20-year-old shot during a traffic stop.
