Scam/Fraud

WILLMAR — A woman reported to Willmar Police that she had sent $300 in gift cards to a scammer who had pretended to be someone she knew. She paid for the cards and sent the card information to the person via cellphone. She then realized she had not been speaking with someone she knew.

In addition to reporting it to law enforcement, the woman said she had notified her pastor who would warn church members to be cautious.

St. Cloud woman charged with murder of infant son whose body was found in dumpster

A St. Cloud woman appeared Tuesday in Stearns County District Court for allegedly killing her child and throwing the body in a dumpster Sunday.
