Theft

NEW LONDON - The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office received report of a theft around 1 p.m. Saturday on the 100 block of 4th Avenue Southwest. A Honda generator had reportedly been stolen from the back of a truck.

Crash

REGAL - A 37-year-old New London man and his 8-year-old daughter were injured in a crash just before 1:30 a.m. Sunday after the man swerved to miss a deer while driving westbound on Highway 55, according to the State Patrol. Jacob and Autumn Oeltjenbruns were transported to CentraCare in Paynesville after their 2003 Ford Focus ran off the road, hit a guardrail and struck a concrete bridge deck rail, west of Regal near milepost 101.
Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Both people were wearing their seatbelts. The State Patrol reported alcohol was a factor in the crash.
