Suspect leads Meeker County deputies on chase through Litchfield
LITCHFIELD - A 34-year-old Litchfield man was arrested Thursday afternoon after a short chase through the city of Litchfield.
A woman contacted the Meeker County Sheriff's Office to say that she had been threatened by the man, and he was following her in his pickup, according to a news release from Sheriff Brian Cruze.
Deputies encountered the man driving south on Sibley Avenue in Litchfield. He didn't stop when they tried to pull him over. After a short pursuit, deputies were able to stop the man on Fourth Street West near the Meeker County Courthouse.

The man was arrested and booked into the Meeker County Jail on pending charges of motor vehicle pursuit, domestic assault, driving after revocation and no insurance.
The Litchfield Police Department assisted.
Fraud
WILLMAR - An IRS scam in which a person lost about $3,000 was reported to Wednesday evening Willmar police. The report came from the 2500 block of U.S. Highway 12 East.
