Hector woman injured in Highway 4 accident Saturday
FAIRFAX — A Hector woman was transported to the Olivia Hospital for what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries after her vehicle left a snow- and ice-covered Minnesota Highway 4 and rolled in Renville County on Saturday afternoon.
Theresa Louise Fink, 53, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet northbound on Highway 4 near 630th Avenue in Cairo Township of Renville County around 1:51 p.m. Saturday when the vehicle left the roadway. It rolled in the east ditch, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The driver was wearing a seatbelt and alcohol was not a factor.
The Renville County Sheriff’s Office and Minnesota State Patrol assisted.

Olivia woman injured in Highway 4 accident Saturday
HECTOR — An 18-year-old Olivia resident was treated at the Olivia Hospital for injuries she suffered in a one-vehicle mishap on Minnesota Highway 4 north of Hector on Saturday morning.
Amy Chereen Jaenisch was driving a 2017 Ford Fiesta northbound on Highway 4 near milepost 99 in Brookfield Township of Renville County when she lost control on a snow and ice-covered roadway. The vehicle struck a guardrail and went into the ditch, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
She was wearing a seatbelt and alcohol was not a factor.
The Renville County Sheriff’s Office and Minnesota State Patrol assisted.
One hurt in Pope County accident
GLENWOOD — A 37-year-old Circle Pines man was treated at the Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood for non-life-threatening injuries he suffered in a single-vehicle accident on Minnesota Highway 28 east of Glenwood at 11:07 p.m. Saturday.
Jose Jesus Vargus was driving a Mazda 6 westbound on Highway 28 when the vehicle ran off the road and rolled, coming to a stop on its wheels, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Spicer man unhurt after truck breaks through ice Friday on Long Lake
WILLMAR — A Spicer man was not injured when his pickup truck broke through the ice on Long Lake north of Willmar around 4:51 p.m. Friday.
Jamie Swenson, 46, was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado pickup that had fallen through the ice on an area of the lake marked with thin ice signs, according to information from the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office .
The boat access on the east side of the lake remains closed, the Sheriff’s Office reported on Friday night.
