Truck goes through ice on Henderson Lake near Spicer
SPICER - The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office received a report Saturday morning of a truck going through the ice on Henderson Lake, west of Spicer on Friday.
The truck, belonging to a rural Spicer man, went through the ice at about 7:30 p.m. Friday. The driver and passenger of the vehicle were able to escape the truck safely and no injuries were reported, said the Sheriff’s Office.
The truck went through the ice about 300 to 400 yards out from the County Road 10 access on to Henderson Lake.
The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office reminds the public to use caution while on lakes this time of the year, because ice conditions can vary from area to area.
Fisherman forced to relocate due to thin ice
SPICER - A man on Long Lake in Spicer had to move his jeep, trailer and portable fish house Saturday afternoon after he was found to be approximately 30 feet within the thin ice signs on the lake. It is against Kandiyohi County ordinance to be within the thin ice signs.
SPICER - Two 20-pound propane tanks were reported stolen Saturday morning from a location about 1.25 miles from the Spicer access to Green Lake.
WILLMAR - A female was taken into custody for alleged shoplifting a necklace and other items at the 19th Avenue Southwest Walmart Supercenter.
