Burglary

KANDIYOHI - A home in the 13000 block of 30th Avenue Northeast, rural Kandiyohi, was burglarized and several items stolen while the resident was gone.

The break-in was reported Wednesday to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office and is under investigation.

Crash on icy road

WILLMAR - No injuries were reported but a fence and a stop sign were damaged when a motorist skidded on an icy street while trying to avoid a collision Wednesday morning.

The incident happened at about 8:15 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Olena Avenue and Ninth Street Southeast.

According to Willmar police, one of the vehicles was eastbound on Olena Avenue and slid through a stop sign at Ninth Street. The second driver, who was on Ninth Street, braked to avoid a crash and ended up sliding as well, hitting a stop sign and then a fence. Road conditions reportedly were slick at the time.
